Professor Katleen De Stobbeleir discusses new trends in coaching. She talks about managers to become better coaches, of employees to become better peer coaches. Organisations are not as hierarchical as they were in the past, so managers have to supervise much more employees than they used to, which complicates their task. Also the knowledge economy as it is emerging, poses new challenges as employees often have more expertise or knowledge than their managers. And of course also the new generations of employees, who are very feedback-driven, will require coaching.
